Crop Caretaker Hungary

Location: Szigetszentmiklós
Fulltime 40 hrs. 

Our Research & Development Vegetables department is responsible for the breeding and development of new vegetable varieties. To support these tasks, we are looking for a motivated Crop Caretaker.

What you will do

Together with a small and close-knit team of crop care takers, you will work on all aspects of cultivation to support our breeding trials. You will be involved in alternating greenhouse and field work, such as sowing, growing plants, planting and harvesting. During cultivation, you ensure that the crops can grow optimally through pruning, tying up and weed control. You also play an important role in identifying and tackling diseases and insect pests. You use different machines, sometimes in combination with a tractor, so no day is the same.

What we expect from you

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a lot of passion for plants and preferably with agricultural training and/or relevant experience in cultivation. You like to roll up your sleeves and keep your cool during busy periods. You have a command of the Hungarian language, possibly supplemented with English, you are also flexible, service-oriented and you enjoy learning. Having a spraying license and tractor license is an advantage. If you don’t have these, Takii offers the possibility to obtain these certificates. Finally, you are willing to work on weekends from time to time.
