(40 hours, location south Italy – Calabria, Puglia, Campania, Basilicata)

Marketing and Sales are responsible for positioning flower and vegetable varieties in the international market, generating sales, integrating ‘third party varieties’ and maintaining relationships with current customers and key players in the market.

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating sales for an assigned customer portfolio in the south of Italy through account management. In addition, as Product Manager you are the knowledge specialist for a product (vegetables) portfolio, ensuring the required innovation, quality and quantity of these products.

 

What you will be doing

As Account Manager you are responsible for the sales of our vegetable assortment in the south of Italy. You will maintain and develop direct relations with our distribution network for which you are the first point of contact within our organization. In this position you are responsible for formulating and realizing the sales targets and monitoring the cost budgets. In addition, you organize the introduction of new varieties in consultation with Portfolio Managers and Product Managers and monitor ordering and order preparation together with Customer Service and Logistic. You report in a timely manner on both sales and developments to the Head of Sales.

In your role as Product Manager you will specialize yourself in one of our key crops and become the spider in the web for this product within our commercial organization. You investigate and report about market developments. Further you specify commercial opportunities and come up with plans and proposals how to make use of them. You are in contact with our Portfolio Managers and other Account Manager about introductions of new varieties. Together with our department Seed Supply you safe-guard the forecasts to guarantee a stable seed supply. In your role as Product Manager, you report to our Sales Lead.

What we expect from you

We are looking for a new colleague who has an Bachelor or Master degree in Agriculture. You have around 5 years’ experience in a commercial position (sales representative, account manager) and a well-developed knowledge and network in the agricultural sector in Italy. You are able to shape strategic policy and translate this into a practical approach. You are flexible, social and great at persuading and inspiring people. Furthermore, you are a solid personality with organizational insight, you are analytically strong, driven -, process -, customer – and result oriented and above all a team-player. You have good reading, writing and speaking skills in English next to this you have knowledge and are able to work with MS Office.

Introductory meeting
