We’re looking for a new colleague who loves breeding, developing new vegetable crops, and pre-breeding research programs. Are you always on the lookout for ways to create better and new vegetable crops to enrich people’s lives? Then this role suits you!
Your Tasks
Being a Site Manager offers you a diverse range of tasks. You are responsible to lead and participate in all the implementations of relevant working activities such as: monitoring the execution of working activities, solving problems, ensuring the safety of all personnel as well as coaching and guiding them.
You advise about the use, capacity, and technical services of the greenhouses and fields and incorporate this advice into a weekly plan. You ensure tidy greenhouses and sheds, removal of waste, production rotation, and green fertilization. Carrying out chemical and biological crop protection in such a way that diseases are combated, and cultivation is not endangered.
Furthermore, you record your findings administratively in the system. Besides, you follow new developments in the field of cultivation techniques, market trends, and legislation and thereby contribute to the optimization of all cultivation activities.
Our expectations
You have completed a minimum of Secondary stage studies after primary school (mostly based on agricultural studies) or equal level obtained by experience, field of study plant cultivation, or technique. You are flexible and able to switch between activities and problems. Leadership is made for you and communicating at various levels is not a problem.
You have no problem with handling stressful situations, working sometimes during the weekends, and occasionally working an alarm shift. At last, you are fluent in French and English both orally and written.
