Our Marketing department holds responsibility for the organization’s marketing, branding, corporate image and communication activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the business. Whereby the Portfolio Manager is responsible for optimizing a balanced and profitable product portfolio based on the overall strategy for dedicated crops.

Responsibility

As a Portfolio Manager, you have a broad responsibility. First and foremost you will optimize a balanced and profitable product portfolio by:

• Developing overall product strategy based on the commercial strategy
• Coordinating final screening trials in collaboration with the breeders
• Managing the product life cycle and ensuring that new products are ready to market for product introduction
• Conducting market research and benchmarking

Secondly, you’ll oversee, coordinate, inspire and coach other product management activities, by developing a structure and tool to be used by other product managers. Besides that, you will also coordinate cross-functional teams. Furthermore, you will initiate and oversee product marketing, chain cooperation and branding activities.

Requirements

We are looking for a new colleague who is highly experienced in marketing or sales, product management, product development and/or breeding. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or another related field. Additionally, you have agricultural or horticultural knowledge and experience. You communicate effectively and know how to use your excellent communication skills to work well together with colleagues and customers. You also have the ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input across the company. Finally, it is really important that you’re commercially driven and result orientated.
